SMS Text Marketing for Appointment Reminding Service

Let’s play a game. Would you rather be nothing, non-efficient or annoying? What?! Don’t like this game? Don’t like the choices?

Well, those were your 3 choices in appointment reminder options. In other words, if you needed to remind a client or a patient about an upcoming appointment, you did one of the following:

Nothing: You just assume that they will be there, that they will remember all on their own. That’s a big assumption. Whether you are a window cleaner headed to the client’s house or the stylist waiting with scissors in hand, you know that “no-shows” stink. They waste your valuable time, cost you money and, often, put you in a bad mood. Not a good option.

Non-Efficient: After a series of disappointments, maybe you decided to have the secretary or receptionist call each and every appointment for the next day. Depending on how large your team is, that could be a lot of phone calls and not an efficient use of that admin’s time. I can pretty much guarantee you that they hate that part of their job, too. And, what happens if you are swamped and he or she never gets through the list? Another poor choice.

Annoying: So, in an effort to save time and money, maybe you retired the admin and hired an automated service. That’s a step up but, unfortunately, they are just annoying. You know you think so, too. The worst part is that there is no way for your clients or patients to respond to the message. They just hang up.

Until now…

You see, I was hiding one last card up my sleeve in this game. Option 4. SMS Marketing. In its simplest form, it is a texting service to remind every customer of their appointment the next day – all in one easy step for your office staff. But, it is so much more. Your customers can interact with it. They can text the office back to cancel or re-schedule. They can click a link for your address and directions. Better yet, they’ll have that link on their phone tomorrow when they get lost and need immediate help.

And, the best part, you may need to sit down for this… ok, ready? Your staff can text your patients or clients throughout the day and update them, via texting, if you are running ahead of schedule or running behind. I know, right?! It’s awesome! Imagine no cranky people in the waiting room stressing you out. Can we have a group sigh of relief?!

You know what to do. Call me. Yup. Simple. I am like the Zen Goddess of Appointment Reminders.
